We will be creating a large scale gelli print collage artwork on canvas. You will learn how to make the gelli prints, which colours to use and how to glue them on. Then we will discuss elements of design and foundations of composition, as we add layers of glorious prints.

Then we are going to put our favourite prints into an art journal, using a recycled brochure, so that you will have a concise glossary of the great prints that you have made. A beautiful art journal of your collection.

In this art class, we are going to create many exciting abstract landscapes with different Gelli printing techniques. Then we will use those mono prints to create a beautiful mixed media collage.

You can create artworks in an art journal, on paper or even make a finished collage on canvas.

You will learn how to create basic backgrounds with 3 colours, then onto using stencils and we then will experiment with found objects, metallic colours and interference paint

We will start with my favourite and easiest technique, using printed images on pre-painted backgrounds. Then we will move on to creating two colour mono-prints. Finally, you will explore using magazine pages for printing.
